The University accepts applications and maintains waiting lists for these apartments. Contact University of Washington Housing and Food Services to get on the waiting list at hfs.washington.edu These restored apartments are primarily for married students who are currently registered for classes at the University of Washington. Single students will be accepted on a space-available basis. Students are offered housing by LMS based on the dates of their housing applications. This renovated historic apartment building consists of 76 studio and 63 one-bedroom units, most with terrific views.

$200 refundable security deposit $300 non-refundable redecoration fee. Square footage ranges from 470-690. Most of the units have wood floors, high ceilings, French doors and large windows. All units have new kitchens, renovated bathrooms with cast-iron bathtubs, and the charm of a 1920s-vintage building. All utilities are included in the rent as is high speed Ethernet access to the campus computer network. A large common laundry area, fitness room and storage areas are located on the ground floor. Students living at the Commodore Duchess Apartments sign leases with LMS and work directly with LMS on all housing issues once they have been offered units. Note: You MUST be a student at the University of Washington to rent at the Commodore Duchess.
